8TV Carnival @ Low Yat Plaza

Today Reon and I went down to KL for some walk. I wanted to get PC price list while Reon want to look for DVD movies to buy. We decided not to visit the Beauty Asia 2006 held at PWTC as we thought it's not worth going.

After collecting my PC price list, we went out from the Low Yat Plaza main entrance to Sungei Wang. At the Low Yat Plaza entrance, we overhead some event happening nearby. It's the 8TV Carnival! We thought there would be no events in KL this weekend. But there was! Good thing we had our gear ready for the day. Hehe...

We went over to the stage and there was a programme featuring the finalists of 8TV's Who Wanna Be A Model. There was a huge crowd in front of the stage. All fans of the soon-to-be and future models? Me and Reon then took out our gear and starting snapping pictures.

After the programme, the DJs informed there will be a special guest artist making a special appearance. I saw at the programme roster where David Tao will be here! And there he is! I'm not a fan of him anyway, but just keep on snapping photos to post in LYP and my blog. Haha...

Some lucky participants at the booth contests were lucky enough to win a chance to have a photo session with David Tao and free tickets to his concert!

After David left, the crowd disappeared! Wah! All really came to see David only! Haha... The Who Wanna Be A Model finalists then went into the crowd to meet the crowd. We had a chance to take their photos. So nice for them to pose for us. Thanks!

MATTA FAIR re-visit

Today I went to the MATTA Fair to look at some bargain holiday or trip destinations. Target was Hong Kong or Thailand. Despite the political issue at Thailand, still in doubt whether it's a nice time to travel there. I missed Bangkok!!!

As usual, I brought along my S3 IS to take some photos there. I expected a huge crowd and stage performances. Last time I went with my parents, who bought a package trip to Korea!

Managed to took some snap shots. Didn't have much mood to stay long and snap more photos. Not much nicely decorated booths also. Ambassadors and lady promoters also not much an interest to me. Reason? You know la... Hehe.

Went home without spending on anything, except the RM3 entrance fee and received a lot of brochures and goodie bags. Haha...

Today I went jalan-jalan at Berjaya Times Square (BTS). I knew there was an event feauring Jackie Chan. He was here to promote his upcoming movie "Rob-B-Hood". A funny title. I reached BTS at around 4.30pm and searched around for the event stage. Couldn't find it. Am sure the newsletter I got mentioned it's gonna be held at Councourse level. Ah, nevermind, walk around first, then come back later. At that time, there's an event featuring "A Cut Above".

At 7.40pm, I was back at BTS. Indeed, the event was held at Concourse level. The stage was done too when I wasn't around. Haha... There was already a crowd in front of the stage. All waiting for Jackie Chan to appear. He is one of my favourite star ya know! Can't miss!

8pm, the event started with some games featuring some audiences and families. After that, Jackie Chan and the movie crews were introduced! There's Jackie Chan! Yeehaaa! First time saw Jackie Chan in real life! Wow...

Jackie Chan appeared on the stage along with the movie director, Benny Chan (his brother ar?), baby Matthew and his mother! The audience went wild. Everyone seems busy taking photos, and even videos?! For me, of course I am well prepared for it. Took out my S3 IS and start shooting! Continuous mode! I also took out my video camera to record some nice scenes and videos.

Jackie and Benny were then interviewed by the host about the movie. Most of the time, Jackie was seen busy entertaining baby Matthew. Seems like baby Matthew was his son?! Haha... The event then continued with the final round of the game for the audience and family held earlier. The movie "Rob-B-Hood" was also launched.

ASEAN Communications Expo & Forum

Today I obtained permission from my boss to visit the ASEAN Communications Expo & Forums (ACM 2006) held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. First, I checked-in to office and left to ACM 2006 at 10am. I will meet up with my friend, Torng and visit the exhibition together.

Once we reached KL Convention Centre, I park my car beside the building (RM6/entry!). It's drizzling when we reach. Strange weather... We proceed to the hall after registered at the entrance.

Hmm. Overall, the exhibition was held at two halls. Not as big as I expected. I did visit a few booths, especially on security products and solutions. That was one of the main reason I visit ACM 2006, besides looking for ambassadors or models to take photo. Keke... As usual, I have my S3 IS ready!

My friend and I walked along the halls visiting the booths. Overall, I found two spots with ambassadors and models. I took my chance to take their photos. Very accomodating. Thanks! This exhibition was targetted at professionals. Everything looked professional and serious.

Before going off for lunch, I saw Angelica! But I am going off to meet a friend for lunch and need to leave. Maybe after lunch can bump into her? I called SinChan to inform him. Maybe will try take her photo (say SinChan's request) after lunch?

At lunch time, we met another friend, Jessie for lunch at Wisma UOA. We didn't meet for quite a long time. Time to refresh back good old memories... ;-)

After lunch, we hang around a while at ACM 2006 and left afterwards. I thought it was a huge exhibition. Was a bit disappointed with it though. Hmm...

Next...

Reon was late for a conference at Westin Hotel - OSIM launching new massage chair with special appearance of Louis Koo Tin Lok! I had to find the best route from 1Utama to Bukit Bintang so that Reon wasn't late for the session. But I mis-cued and got lost a while. But managed to fetch Reon to Westin Hotel 20 minutes late. Haha... :P Lucky to hear the session started late oso. Keke...

I went to park my car and walked direct to Sungei Wang concourse area. I thought the Jasmine Girl Search 2006 event was over, because SinChan called me soon after I dropped off Reon to tell the event was over. When I reach the concourse area, the event was still on going! Apala SC...

Without waiting any further, I took out my S3 IS and start shooting again. I was quite near to the stage. I spotted SinChan and Viper at the front, just beside the stage! They must had waited there for a long time to get the best spot. Haha. Well done!

The event continues with special appearance of Malaysian Idol Daniel! Half way through the event, they both finally spotted me and I went over to them. Then it's tag-team photo shoot. S3 IS + T7. Keke... The models on stage came out for a short interview session and then pose for less than a minute for the photo shooting session. I just snap snap and snap, taking advantage of the continuous shot feature.

Finally, the event was over. We all agreed J7 will win it in tomorrow's final. Haha. At that moment, Reon hasn't came over. I guess his session haven't finished? We went to McD to rest while waiting for Reon. We had McD Twist. Hehe... Whose treat? Thanks ya! :P

Honda MME Roadshow

Today me and Reon went to 1Utama to visit the Honda MME Roadshow. I wanted to see the Honda Civic used during the MME. Didn't expect Jessica, TingLih and April Toh were there too. Kinda surprised... :p

There, I took out my S3 IS and start shooting again. I need more training on my camera... After midway through my shooting. Reon told me Jessica and TingLih were going for a break and we were invited to join them. How dare we reject lady's invitation la rite? Reon should have taken his lunch there as it was Jessica's treat! Haha. Too bad I already had my lunch full before going out... Keke...

After the break, we all resumed out work. Hehe. Me and Reon's work was of course keep on taking photos la. Reon was waiting for a chance to take all the ambassador's photos in group. Our hope relished. Haha. Just like what Reon said, if you knew one of the ambassadors, nothing is impossible when want to take their photos! Even the organizer's master of ceremonies (MC) also recognizes us both and joked about us! Alamak... I guess we went to too much Honda Roadshows. :p

After done taking photos, off we go to another destination. It's a busy day today ya know!!!

Flood!

Today was at Putrajaya settling a case reported by customer. I went off late. Wanted to leave early to avoid the jam going back to office. But work was stuck a while and had to leave a bit late.

I left Putrajaya at 5.30pm. Once I went pass UPM, saw the sky was dark all of a sudden! I expect a heavy rain coming soon. It has been raining for the pass few days. Not a normal rain, but a storm!

Just after a while, there you go... Rain hits everywhere. Heavy with strong winds! I went pass the toll plaza after Palace of the Golden Horses. When paying at the toll, I reached outside to pay and my hands were all wet! Imagine the strong wind...

As I move towards the MRR2 exit, noticed the cars were stuck and didn't move. I bet the exit road was flooded! It's always flooded when heavy rain strucks. Further up front also has a spot vulnerable to flash flood. I decided to make a U-turn and use the Sungai Besi Highway, which leads to KL. Was hoping it's a good decision and no floods on the way...

The heavy rain and strong wind made it tough to drive. Really had to go slow and avoid spots of water on the road. Things started to get nasty. There's a spot flooded with water and the lane was reduced from three to a single! Was kinda stuck in a jam... But I managed to went through it without any problem, not realising it's the starting of another disaster...

Just before I reach the exit back to KL-Seremban highway, I was again stuck in a heavy jam. Waited for some time and the cars ain't moving! The rain went to drizzling. Some drivers went out of their car and walked to the front to have a look. I stopped my engine and rest, not realising what happened in front. Must be flood again...

Finally, I decided to go out and have a look. What really surprised me was what actually happened up front! Massive flood! Cars were impassable! I took out my K750i and start snapping photos. This is my first time stuck in such situation. Looks like we need to wait until the water receeds then only can pass.

I called my office to inform the situation. I also MMS the photos I took to my friends and colleagues. Looks like I will just wait and straight away go home after that... From what I saw at the flood area, the water flooded the highway all of a sudden. Some cars were submerged in the flood water and was damaged. Some people was playing in the water. Some people tried to get pass the flood water. Some people sleep in the car. Some people chit chatting around. Some people trying to take photos. Some people trying to save their things from the flood. Was serious atually...

I was stuck there from around 6pm until 7pm. One hour! Finally, cars were able to pass and I saw the aftermath of the flash flood. Some flooded cars parked beside and waiting to be towed. Pity them... :-(

While on the way home, saw the KL-Seremban highway was also jam on the way to Seremban. Flood again. Aso a massive jam at Jalan Kuching. Lucky I didn't stuck in jam anymore. I called Reon to report the traffic situation in KL. Looks like he have to wait until late to go home from Subang. I reached home at 8pm. Wow... Took me two and half hours to go home from Putrajaya!

Missing bowl!

Today woke up late... Once brushed up, I went downstairs and perform prayers. My parents weren't at home and were out for a trip. When I went out of the house to pray the "God of Sky", OMG! Where's the bowl!?!?!?!?!?

Noticed anything missing? WTF!!!

My guess is some f*ck*ng c*b*i had stolen it! Like that also wanna take ar? What's wrong with the society?

After a few days, my mom heard from someone who stayed nearby. He saw a malay guy walked away from my house holding something and pouring "powder" out from it. Bet he's the f*ck*r! Now curse you to hell and may all the bad luck be with you ALWAYS... RIS -> Rest In Shit sucker!!!

FYI, the bowl was made of some metal, mom said can be sold to get some money! Hope the guy sols it, gets his drug and RIP... ..|..

Now my parents bought and used a new bowl made of ceramic...

PIKOM PC Fair version II

It's PC Fair again! KL Convention Centre here we go! As planned, me and Reon went to meet Sin Chan at KLCC and started our journey in the PC Fair world. Our interest not much on the IT stuffs sold there, but to the ambassadors and models there! Haha... :P

There goes another chance for me to test run my PowerShot S3 IS again. Sin Chan also testing his skills on Reon's DSLR brought back from his office. Shooting time! Target: ambassadors and models.

Me and Sin Chan walked around all the halls looking for targets. Once spotted, approach and shoot! Keke. There's only one case where a model doesn't allow us to take their photos. Hmm... Nevermind lor. Sin Chan is getting better in using DSLR. Also getting more daring to approach girls and to take their photos. Haha. Now is only the matter of time before he gets himself a DSLR! Just wait and see! ;)

KL Photography Festival '06

Since I got my Canon PowerShot S3 IS, didn't have the chance to really test run the camera fully. Today is the chance! Me and Reon decided to pay a visit to the KL Photography Festival held at Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, near Stadium Merdeka.

I had a training during the morning, but I managed to go along with Reon to the KLPF after my training. Initially we were not sure where to park our car. What I can think of is parking our car at Stadium Merdeka. Once we reached Stadium Merdeka parking entrance, we noticed there's nobody there for us to collect parking ticket or pay the parking fees. Then we believe it's free parking on weekends! So nice! We parked our car and proceed to the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, which was just across the road.

This was actually my first time stepping into Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall. Hehe. We walked around having a look at the booths. Reon met his photographer friends there. Reon also tried to look for DSLR camera lens cap, which was lost during the KLIMS previously. Didn't have any luck finding though. We did had our hands on the new DSLR from Sony, Alpha... Looks good but pricey as always. Haha...

Next, the moment we are all waiting for, the model shoots! Lotsa photographers already ready themselves and picked a nice spot to shoot. Some were even standing on chairs and short ladders! Really professional... Hehe...

The model shoot starts after a while waiting for them. Then it's snap snap and snap non-stop! I played around with the functions of my S3 IS to get better quality shots. Reon reminded me of the 12x optical zoom that my S3 IS has. I comes in handy but might decrease the quality of the shots. Hmmm... Never mind, just keep shooting. Hehe...

Once the model shoot was over, we hang around the area and left after that. Reon had his hands on some DSLR models on display there. Hehe. When is he going to get one ler... SinChan, when you are getting yours also? DSLR is not my type. I'm already happy with a pro-sumer cam. ;-)

After leaving KLPF, me and Reon dropped by Low Yat Plaza to do some shopping. I bought some DVD games. I missed FPS games. I bought two FPS games. Hehe...

Reon and I also tried to look around for his lens cap. Didn't have any luck though at some shops in Bukit Bintang and Sungei Wang. The best effort was a broken lens cap at Foto Shangri-La at Sungei Wang also also a shop at Bukit Bintang, which was quite expensive. We decided to keep on searching at Lot 10. We finally found it at Foto Shangri-La branch in Lot 10! Price was cheaper than the shop we found in Bukit Bintang too! Damn that shop who tried to cheat us!!!

After that, we went to take our dinner at nearby Pizza Hut. Once in there, we were surprised as there were many foreigners dining there. Are we having pizzas in another country? Haha...

Another new gadget...

After some considerations and thoughts, plus some comments from vyruz, I finally decided to buy myself a new digital camera. My previous digital camera wasn't that nice to use as it was already outdated and nothing much I can play with it, except point and shoot. Hehe...

I was having thoughts about which digital camera to purchase, Canon PowerShot A700 or Canon PowerShot S3 IS? Both of them cost more than a thousand. Finally after come persuation by vyruz, I decided on S3 IS, due to more features available... :P

Today I went to MidValley to meet up with a primary school friend. I'm supposed to survey for the camera price there, as suggested by Reon. After asking around at Key Color, Canon, Fotokem and Foto Shangri-la, I decided to purchase my digital camera at Foto Shangri-la.

Finally I got my hands on my new gadget! Hehe... After that, went to 1 Utama with my friend to visit the Honda Accord roadshow. Before leaving MidValley, I saw Jenni at the Bosch roadshow. Didn't went to say hi though as she was busy chatting with a friend.

The Honda Accord roadshow was a disappoint though. Not much people wander around the stage and the Honda Accord didn't really look nice to me. I prefer Honda Civic or Honda City. Haha... I managed to test run my S3 IS and took some shots, with 12X digital zoom! I was really impresed with the camera. Yehaaa!!!

MAS vs AirAsia - My Bangkok Trip

~ 5th July 2006 ~

I have a flight to catch to Bangkok at 3.15pm! I'm going to attend an anti-virus conference by representing my company. This is my second time visiting Thailand. I still can recall my first visit to Hadyai, Thailand when I was still a kid. But this time, I am travelling alone! Hope all ends well...

Also, from all the trips arranged by my company, this time I actually had the chance to take MAS! Last time used to take AirAsia. Didn't really like it, although the air fare was cheaper. I bet I'm gonna have a great experience taking MAS... ^_^

After checked-in, I hang around for a while at departure hall. I then proceed to the customs area to have my passport scanned and went to look for my gate. I had to take the sky train to the International Departure Hall. Haha. Finally get my chance to take the sky train. Not really a train though. Hehe...

Upon reaching the International Departure Hall, I didn't manage to walk around the duty free shops there. I proceed to my departure gate. I boarded the plane after a while. Right on time...

Once in the plane, I had to ask the steward where's my seat? Haha. First time in MAS airplane mer. Didn't notice the seat number assigned to me on the plane. :p

I found my seat and settled down. Wow. Of course the plane was larger than the usual AirAsia plane. The seats arrangement were 2 x 4 x 2. With ample of spaces in between! Good thing is there's nobody sitting beside me. Hehe. My seat was at the 4-seater on the left side.

Before taking off, passengers were shown the safety and emergency guide, on a TV/Projector! Haha. AirAsia was showing the procedures through their air-steward/stewardess. The air-cond was cool to. Compared to AirAsia, where the plane took some time to get cold. :p

The plane took off. Very stable of course with the bigger plane compared to AirAsia. After took off, meal was served! Haha! My favourite part! We were given two choices of set meals. Each meal comes with the main course, a piece of bread, a drink and a desert! Yum yum! And of course the meal onboard of MAS airplane was free! Haha...

Some television shows were also shown at the front, which I didn't really bothered to watch. Passengers can also use the disposable headset at the seat to listen to the radio and television programe showed. Too bad the transceiver on my seat was non-functional. I proceed to take some rest - sleep!

I arrived at Bangkok International Airport 2 hours later. I gained an hour there as the time in Bangkok was an hour earlier than Malaysian time. When touching down at the airport, it was smooth and I noticed a lot of international airplanes there. Never saw them at KLIA before though.

I then proceed to my hotel - Holiday Villa Bangkok and checked-in. I was amazed with the environment of the hotel. 5 star of course! The room was great too! This is where the executives stay! Hehe...

I attended the conference next day and also on the last day. Then it's time to go home. Gonna miss Bangkok, especially the nightlife! Hehe... There I go, taking MAS back to KL! ^_^

Kota Kinabalu Yehaa!

~ 21st - 23rd June 2006 ~

Second round! This time I am off to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with my technical colleague again! This is my 3rd time to Kota Kinabalu. It's doing the same installation and work as what we did at Kuching last week.

This time we were a bit more clever. To save cost, we met up at KL Sentral at 6am and took a bus from KL Sentral to LCCT directly. It cost us RM9 each. The trip took around one hour plus. This time, we bought some light breakfast to take at LCCT. Really save cost. :p

We boarded our flight and reached Kota Kinabalu around two hours later. This time, we stayed in a better hotel, Promenade Hotel. One of the best hotels in Kota Kinabalu. We will be staying in the same hotel with the IT staff from KL too! That could save us the taxi trip fare from hotel to customer site, as transport was provided to fetch us from the hotel to customer site. Keke...

We checked-in to the hotel and waited for the IT staff from KL to arrive. After that, we went straight to the customer site and started our work. This time is far more easier as we already have the idea on how to do it, just similar to what we did previously at Kuching.

At late evening, we called it a day and went back to the hotel to rest. As the IT staff from KL will take buffet dinner at the hotel, me and colleague decided to walk to the Pasar Filipine to find food to eat. I still remember the nice food there, chicken wings, ikan bakar, nasi goreng, mee goreng. What's so special? Just some food and pricing for your reference...

Nasi or mee goreng: RM3

We bought 6 pcs of chicken wing, 1 ikan bakar and find a place to settle down. We ordered 1 nasi goreng for both of us to share. Why? RM3 for a nasi goreng, it's in a normal big plate FULL! Enough for two person! Haha. Economic! I ordered Ice Kacang for drink. Hehe... Gonna eat till full and 100% satisfaction!

After dinner, we went to walk around the night market for some shopping. It's pearl shopping time! Now, we both became ladies, shopping for ladies accessories. Haha. Sabah was popular with pearls, "embedded" into bracelets, rings, ear rings, necklaces etc. We bought some accessories as I was also "pre-ordered" by other colleagues in office to buy back some for them. After hanging around at the night market, we went to another place, which was also having a night market, selling lotsa accesories too! I still remember the place from my previous visit to Kota Kinabalu. After done shopping, we went back to hotel. We met the IT staff from KL and had another drink and chit chat at the WaterFront.

Next day, as usual, we proceed along with the IT staff from KL to customer site to start work. As usual, we had free breakfast, lunch and tea break. Hehe... Around noon time, we already finished work. Great efficiency! Haha. We then took a car and went to "mini-Putrajaya" at Kota Kinabalu. All government agencies in Kota Kinabalu will shift to the new buildings there in the future. Not sure when is the exact date as the construction was still far from done. We also drop by at Universiti Malaysia Sabah to have a look. Nice place! We went back to the hotel afterwards.

At late evening, all of us went to Pasar Filipine to do some shopping. There's a place that sells accessories and souvenirs. We walked through almost all of the stalls shopping and bargaining for good price. We all bought stuffs. After content with shopping, we went back to hotel as the sky is getting darker. It's actually drizzling when we were half way shopping.

Back in hotel, we took our buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant. The IT staff from KL were entitled for the buffet dinner. Me and my colleague need to pay for it ourselves. But I didn't care much as I still have lotsa allowance left. We had a full buffet dinner. After that, we went back to our room and rest.

Last day... We didn't have to visit the customer site again. After breakfast, we went walking around the town area again to do some last minute shopping. We checked-out of hotel at noon. The IT staff from KL went off to catch their flight later and as our Air Asia flight was later that day, we went to another shopping mall to have a walk and take our lunch.

We took our flight later and headed back to KL. We reached LCCT and took the bus back to KL Sentral. Another cost saving trip. Hehe... I reached home around 12am and once again, another great trip with not much work to be done. Haha. I love Kota Kinabalu! I hope will be back later when the site is moving to the new "mini-Putrajaya". Keke... :p

Kuching Meow Meow Meow

~ 14th - 16th June 2006 ~

Wednesday... Need to wake up very early in the morning. Didn't get enough sleep previously. I'll be going with a technical colleague to Kuching, Sarawak for a working trip!

It's Sophos Anti Virus installation for Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam's branch in Kuching. Two IT staff from KL will be joining us there. Things are a bit complicated with the installation as there were some pre-requisites to be met before the installation. But not much a problem though. Had it resolved before travelling to Kuching.

I met my colleague at KL Sentral at 6am and we travelled to KLIA using KLIA Ekspress. Once we reached KLIA, we took a transit bus at the KLIA bus terminal to LCCT, Air Asia's terminal. The bus trip took around 15 minutes. The trip cost each of us RM1.50 too! A good way for Air Asia to earn some extra bucks ehh?

When we reached LCCT. It's still early. We were rather surprised on how small the LCCT is! With just a restaurant, a McDonalds and a Coffee Bean. Wah... Must be boring waiting for flight there. And we are going to go through that.

Once we checked-in our flight, we took some time lepak at McDonalds and had our breakfast. We were given company allowance. So just use it when possible. But of coz will try to save some. Haha...

We boarded our flight at 9am. We had to walk near the runway and get to the plane. Talking about low cost, it's really low cost! I don't really like to take Air Asia due to the crowded and uncomfortable seats. But it's cheap. No choice when company chooses Air Asia. Save cost also mar. When in flight, will not order any food or drinks in there. Too expensive! I would sleep until I reach my destination. Hehe.

But the nice thing about taking Air Asia is because the plane was not as big, where we actually can feel the plane taking off from land to the sky and touching down when landing. Nice experience since I like airplanes since young and small. :p

Once we reach Kuching, we took a taxi to our hotel, which was booked by office earlier. The hotel was not that far from the Kuching WaterFront. But the hotel was like isolated from the town. So, to go out, we have to walk a bit. We can't get other hotels due to it's fully booked, as there's a Malaysian Open badminton championship happening in town. Bad timing ehh?!

After settled in hotel, we went out straight to customer's place. We took our lunch before going. Once we reached, we started work straight away. Didn't get enough rest and had to start work already. :-(

I deployed the server while the others deployed on the workstations. In the late evening, the two IT staff from KL went off as they wanted to look for other better hotel to stay. Me and my colleague stayed back until 8pm to finish whatever we can.

When we finished, it's already dark outside. We had difficulties getting a taxi to get back to the hotel. We choosed to stop at Kuching WaterFront to take a walk and find something to eat. Hungry! We actually walked around the town and finally settled at a restaurant near our hotel. We bought burgers back to hotel after that we as wanted to watch a World Cup match in the room. But we were actually too tired and slept early that night without watching much of the match shown on TV.

Next day! We resumed our work. We get to enjoy free breakfast, dinner and also tea break while working. Nice! Haha... We managed to finish up the work that day. Phweew! Now can go shopping! We followed the IT staff from KL back to their hotel. Today, there switched to another new hotel. Wow. It's Crown Plaza. They booked a room with Priority Club and got a executive room. Huhuhu... After resting in the room, we went out to take a walk at late evening.

We didn't take dinner and decided to catch a movie at the nearby Star Cinema. We watched Fast and Furius: Tokyo Drift, which started screening today! We got outselves a free posters each too! Hehe... After movie, we went back to our hotel. Didn't took dinner that night. Hehe. Save some bucks!

Last day, we went back to customer site just to standby and sign off everything, making sure everything was in working condition. Before lunch and friday prayers, we went shopping at the shops beside Kuching WaterFront. Many fancy fancy stuffs there, such as handicrafts. We took around one hour to do some fast shopping.

Then we went to a mosque as my colleagues want to perform their friday prayers. I waited in the car. Haish. Used to it already loo. I took my chance and had a good preview on the vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner. Hehe... :p

After that, we went back to the customer site and took our free lunch there. After lunch, we bid farewell to the staff there and went touring around the city. Sarawak people are really nice and friendly!

We went to a place near airport to shop for some handicraft mats and souvenirs. We also drop by to look at locally hand made pots. I bought some stuff there too.

Finally, we called it a day and it's time to leave Kuching. The IT staff from KL took their MAS flight back to KL and we took Air Asia back to KL later after that. I reached home at around 11.30pm. What a tiring and wonderful trip to Kuching! That was my second trip to Kuching and I enjoyed it, besides the non-stop working at day time. Hehe...

Reon Bro's Wedding Dinner

Tonight is Reon brother's wedding dinner. His wedding day was held on 6th June previously. Me and Ed were asked by Reon to help him shoot videos of the entire event. Videographers reporting for duty! Haha...

We arrived at the restaurant before the dinner starts. After done surveying, we started shooting videos at the entrance (using tripod) and surroundings. Not to miss out are the guests arriving at the dinner. As the event took place, sadly I didn't notice any lengluis around. :-(

The dinner finally started. The bride and bridegroom slowly walked into the hall from the entrance to the stage, accompanied by the English Premier League song mixed by Reon. It's World Cup season mar. Tonight is actually England's first World Cup match against Paraguay! Gonna miss it...

Back to the story. As the bride and bridegroom walked into the hall, I had to follow in front of them while shooting the entire process. Walking backwards! Hehe. Not easy though. Hope my shots are good. :p

After the bride and bridegroom settled at their "VIP" table, Reon's father lead us to our table. We did manage to have three to four dishes, then we resumed our duty. Reon will be taking photos, while me and Ed will shoot videos.

I followed Reon's parents and brother to shoot video of them visiting almost every table in the hall. Sometimes it's difficult to follow them as the spaces were limited in the restaurant. Sometimes I have to squeeze through the tables and chairs to get a better shot.

Then comes the "yum seng" session. It was a great and exciting session. With many kissing scenes followed-up. Of course the scenes didn't miss out from my DV! Hehe...

The dinner actually started a bit late, but ended earlier. The dinner guests slowly leaving the hall. Reon's parents were busy thanking the guests for attending. Reon, Ed and I were busy occupied with shooting the last moments of the wedding dinner.

After the event, we finally get the chance to rest and relax. We left the restaurant afterwards and went home. What a tiring night! Again, congrats to Steven!

My new and second mobile phone

6th June 2006... A significant day? To me, just a normal day la. But for Reon's brother, it's his wedding day today! Wishes him a happy marriage and lotsa children later! Haha... :p

Anyway, today I was supposed to visit a customer's place in Putrajaya. But before going there at lunch time, I dropped by Endah Parade at Seri Petaling to get my new mobile phone. I just received my annual bonus last month and gonna spend a bit from it to get myself a new mobile phone!

After some days of ordering a Sony Ericsson K750i from gtoracer1 in Low Yat Forum, I finally got my new mobile phone as stock was available that day. This phone is still in so much demand yea? Cost me RM1050 for the full AP set with 1GB Sony Memory Stick Duo Pro. Good bargain or not, never mine lah. Just can't wait to get my hands dirty on the phone!

I met gtoracer1 at his shop, actually a distributor shop hidden somewhere in Endah Parade. I tested the unit and was satisfied with it. And I went off happily with my new mobile phone.

Now I can make full use of the internal 2.0MP auto focus digital camera and have fun by shooting whatever photos I want, without using my own digital camera in hand. Haha...

In addition, I also activated a new Hotlink 017 prepaid for my new baby K750i. Hehe... :p

KLIMS 06 - Final Visit, 4th!

Today is the final day of KLIMS 2006. I was wondering whether want to go for the last time or not. Hehe. Too much money to spend is it? :p In the end, Reon called and he also not sure want to go or not. Finally, we decided to go! Haha...

We actually meet up with Vyruz in the hall. Vyruz has been posting in Reon's thread in Low Yat Forum. Not a problem for us to "click" with each other. Reon and Vyruz exchanged DSLR to allow them to test the units and play around. While I as usual took out my DV and DC for the usual stuffs to do. Really never get bored with it yeah! Three of us hang around the halls taking photos and videos.

While hanging around, I went back to Hall 1. I tried to look for Jenni at the Modenas section. I printed out a photo that Reon sent to me, to give to Jenni. Purpose? To get her contact. Hehe. But getting her contact is my friend's request. Ok la, I also want Jenni's contact OK? Jenni's smile was really sweet! I finally spotted Jenni at the upper floor of the Modenas section. She was busy with her colleagues. I had to wait a while. When Jenni came down, I waited for my opportunity to approach her. I finally did so after Vyruz told me not to wait and just approach her. I felt akward as I doesn't want to interrupt someone, especally when someone was in a middle of conversation. But I did that anyway. Sorry Jenni... ... ... And thanks for the contact and conversation! :p

Three of us reached Hall 4 and spent some time at Honda section. We found Jessica and Reon asked for freebies. We did surveyed for ASIMO souvenirs as Reon is thinking of getting one himself. But the hefty price disappointed us all. In the end, we filled up a survey for the Honda showcase at KLIMS and get ourselves a free Honda notepad. Haha... Nice!

From the first to the last hall, we spend the last available memories in the DSLR to take photos. Even a 3GB memory card wasn't enough to take photos in RAW format at KLIMS. At the end of the visit, all memory cards were full. Surprisingly, battery supply was still available. Haha...

We took our dinner in McDonalds at The Mall. Me and Reon get to know more about Vyruz. He actually drives a Honda City, my dream car to buy! Haha. After dinner, we hitched a ride in Vyruz's Honda City to my car, which was quite far away. Thanks Vyruz for the ride! After I get my Honda City, we go race at Cyberjaya ya! Haha... :p

There goes KLIMS 2006. Giving us lotsa fun and excitement. My expenses especially for the entrance tickets, in my opinion, was well worth it! Now have to wait another 3 years for the next KLIMS. Haish... Really can't wait! ^_^

Today... 3rd visit to KLIMS. Me and Reon will be going with SinChan. We met up at PWTC and went into the halls. This time, I bring along 2 units of walkie-talkie "borrowed" from my office. I expect us to be seperated when visiting in the halls. We could make use of walkie-talkie and call each other to meet up at a place, as making phone calls would involve cost. Hehe...

In the first hall, Reon passed his office DSLR to SinChan to let SinChan take photos. SinChan didn't manage to get his own DSLR for KLIMS. Time for SinChan to show off his skills! Reon will take videos using his DV. At first, SinChan had problems with taking photos. Batteries for the flash unit are to be blamed. Hehe...

As usual, I took out my DC + DV and start taking photos + videos again. After visiting to the next halls, SinChan became more daring in asking the ambassadors and models to pose and allow him to take photos. Hahaha... We spent a lot of time at the Hyundai section, where we met up with Evonne. Reon's DSLR was eventually robbed by Evonne as she took the unit and went on an adventure herself. Keke...

Finally, we reached Hall 4, where we managed to catch the ASIMO presentation. Reon asked me to help him take videos of the presentation as he would take photos himself. It's my second time taking videos of the ASIMO presentation. I had the idea how the presentation goes and planned my video shoots. ;-) Unfortunately, the place I'm standing at wasn't near the stage. I had to raise my hand, holding the DV and record the entire presentation. That's extremely tiring!

After visiting the final hall, we decided to take our dinner at Pizza Hut in The Mall. After dinner, I fetched SinChan to Sungai Wang and we went home afterwards. Another tiring but satisfied day!

KLIMS 06 - 2nd Visit

I've been a naughty guy today. I purposely took leave from work today, just to visit KLIMS! Haha...

I'll be going to KLIMS by myself today. Perhaps I could meet up with Reon later, if he's there with his boss. I arrived at PWTC at late afternoon. As usual, paid for the tickets and went in. DC and DV both in position and starts shooting! I followed the visiting plan earlier after done surveying during my first visit a few days ago. I have a brief idea on where the good looking "chicks" and attraction were at. :p

I spend my time wisely at Hall 1 until Hall 2. Taking my time taking photos and videos too. There's lesser crowd during weekdays, which I planned to go because of this advantage. I can take photos and videos easily. But risks of having lesser ambassador girls working on weekdays.

While I was at Hall 2, Rok called up and told me he was in KLIMS with his boss. But I couldn't meet up with him. I proceed to the next hall, continuing my journey and mission. Hehe...

I planned my visiting time and ended up in a good view of the ASIMO presentation at Hall 4. I recorded the whole presentation on my DV. It was a good experience watching the technology that Honda has. In the future, we will surely have robotic friends or maids right at the comfort of our home. ;-)

After the ASIMO presentation, I hang around for a while at the halls and went home, expecting another visit soon! Hahaha...

My KLIMS 06' Experience

Finally, the day we were waiting for had arrived! It's the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2006 (KLIMS 06), held at Putra World Trade Center (PWTC). I was prepared with full gear: Digital camera (DC) + digital video camera (DV) and full speed ahead for the show!

Today, me, my ex-college friend fumiseki and Reon paid our first visit to KLIMS. Reon actually had his media pass and no need to pay for the visit. My friend and I had to fork out RM15 each for our visit. No problem lah... :p

For our first visit, we would take it as a survey visit. Once we know what were in the show, our next visit would make things easier as we would know what kind of events and happenings will take place where. Then we can plan our next visiting strategy. Hehe...

As Reon went in via the media entrance, me and my friend went into the hall via the visitors entrance, we finally met up at the first hall. Once we stepped into the first hall, we took out our gears and starts shooting photos and videos. I gave the DC to my friend to help me take photos, while I took out my DV and starts shooting videos. This is gonna be fun!

The main attractions at the first hall were the Bridgestone, Modenas and Proton. Proton? Aiyoyo. Paiseh to tell. But I look at the concept cars and Lotus cars only la. Hehe... Other Proton cars not interested. :p

I met up with Reon later and proceed to the next hall. The main attractions in Hall 2 were the big Nissan and Hyundai stage. Other attractions that I found were the small section showcases, which includes Panasonic, Sony and many other ICE showcases. There, I met Candice and Cecilia.

There's an upper floor, where the air spray demonstration was held. At 4pm, there was an appearance by the Japan GT Race Queens, to promote the Japan GT Race at Sepang later in the calendar. We have to wait for some time for their appearance. Always late ehh? But finally managed to see the three cute Japan GT Race Queens dancing on stage. Haha. ;-)

Next, we proceed to the next hall, where the main attractions there were Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Mazda and NAZA Kia. EVO 9 and Mazda 6 were showcased but no signs of RX-8. Huh? As usual, lotsa photo and video shooting there...

After feeling enough with Hall 3, it's Hall 4 time! There are still many more car manufacturers to come! In Hall 4, the main attractions were Toyota, Volvo and Ford. At the Toyota stage, I saw Rose and met Joanne. The funny thing was when I was shooting videos of Joanne on stage, she went to my side and asked me to help her down the stage. I asked whether she needs a rest? She told me her p*nt***s* was damaged. Just did her a favour my helping her down the stage for her to do some repair, and I resume my visit to the next area.

Next is Hall 5. It's Honda and Mercedes! Honda is gaining my trust and favour now, as my current target is getting a Honda City 1.5L VTEC. Hehe. There, we met Jessica. There was a ASIMO presentation later, one of the main attraction at KLIMS, but I didn't have time to catch it as I need to leave soon. Nevermind, there's always a next visit! Reon and I decided to leave the hall to the next and last hall, after saying goodbye to my friend.

The last hall was actually a showcase (without touching) of fully imported and expensive cars from NAZA World. We didn't take long time visitng at the hall, just walked pass the hall and left KLIMS, our first day visit...

Haish... Days are passing by one day by another day. Here I am, still with the out-dated blog. With days passing by, and with so many events happening, I don't have much time to update my blog! Sad ehh!

Well, to sum up what blogs that I missed out, there were my new mobile phone, fascinating KLIMS 06', helping in Reon's brother wedding dinner, my working trip to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, my job dilemnas, and upcoming is gonna be my trip to Bangkok! Wah...So many...

I think I just made up my mind, really need to find time after my trip to Bangkok, sit in front of PC and blog till the end! Hrmph!!!

KLIMS Preview

As planned earlier, me, Reon and Declan planned to go windows shopping for cars today. Declan intend to get a car for himself in the near future, just unsure on which car to buy. He already wanted to buy MyVi but after the launching of NAZA's Sutera and Bestari 206, he intend to take a look at the models.

We paid a visit to the row of showrooms located along Federal Highway. First stop was Cycle & Carriage to see NAZA's Bestari 206. Before that, we had a bit of difficulty locating the way to get there. Had to go through small trunk roads to get there... :-(

At first look, the Bestari was nice as in the outlook. But once we got into the car, the space looks limited. It's not a newly designed car anyway. So no high hopes on it. The price was a bit disappointing too. It's actually Peugeot's car but was re-branded as NAZA Bestari 206.

Next stop is Toyota! Toyota recently also launched a new model, Toyota Yaris. The outlook wasn't that striking. It's using the same engine as Toyota Vios. But this one costs more than Vios! Whoa... But the newly designed interior really look nice and comfortable, except some limited space also, especially for big and tall guys like us!

Next is NAZA, which is further down the road. Again we not sure how to get to the NAZA showroom. We went into Jalan 222 and went pass a Honda showroom. Reon proposed to go in and have a look. In there, we had a look at the Honda Jazz and Honda Accord. I didn't look at the new Honda Civic there. Yeah, look at it too much already during the roadshows. Haha...

Then Reon asked the salesman there whether we can have a look at Honda City or not. There was a Honda City parked outside the showroom as a test drive car. The salesman straight away gave us the car key for the Honda City outside and let us have a look ourself! We of course went ourself to "investigate" the car. It's a Honda City 1.5L VTEC. Never sit in it before. Only sit in the older model with IDSI before. Hehe...

Started the engine, opened the front and back bonnet and explore the whole car. We were totally surprised with the trunk of the car. It's really huge! The salesman then came over and we chit chat about the features and specifications of the car. Sales introduction as usual. When we were discussing about the engine and CVT gear, the salesman offered us a ride to show how the CVT gear works. Up we go hopping into the car!

The salesman drive throught the side and back lanes around the showroom, showing us how the CVT gear works. It's really a wonder! We were all amazed. It's powerful too! Then the salesman stopped at a roadside and offered us a chance to test it. Reon asked me to test drive the car. Here comes my chance as I really dreamt of getting the car in future. Once in, I felt great. Haha. Then step on the pedal and tried to floor it. Want to see how powerful it is when accelerating from zero. It's really powerful and you really can't feel the gear changing! I tried to floor it a few times and the response was really great. 100% satisfaction! I wonder when I will have the chance to own a Honda City 1.5L VTEC. May not consider IDSI after seeing how powerful the VTEC was. Am sure i-VTEC would be another class on top lor... ;-)

Great satisfaction, then it's time to continue our next destination, the NAZA showroom. We managed to found the way to NAZA showroom after getting lost for a while. First stop was a small building showcasing some sports cars and those really expensive vehicles that we can't afford to buy and only can see and touch. Haha... :p

Next we visit the nearby showroom. I wouldn't call that a showroom. I would call that a garage! Really lotsa cars in there! All nicely parked with limited space in between the cars. All expensive imported cars. If one could get in and steal all the cars, sure would be millionaires! We've got BMWs', Ferraris', Lamborghinis', EVOs', Silvias', Mercedes', Volvos', Porshes' and many others there. You name a luxury and sports car, you got it there! We took our time admiring the cars and took photos.

Of course Declan was looking for NAZA Sutera. We found a few models with different colors there. We had a look and in the end, thumbs down for it! It's really a "hard" car. It's not comfortable and limited space also. Worst than Bestari 206. Haha. Good thing are the safety features and cheap price! Declan also mentioned when the car was produced at China and going to send here, they realised the signal light wasn't there. They added it in at last minute at the place beside the windscreen near the side mirrors. That made it looked ugly. Haha...

After visiting NAZA showroom, we tried to drive around PJ looking for any Perodua showrooms. Declan really intend to get a MyVi as there's no other choices for him now. We managed to find a Perodua showroom but it was closed. Too bad. We then decided to leave and went back to Wangsa Maju to had our dinner at Pizza Hut...

Overall, a great day of windows shopping for cars! My best moment was when drving the Honda City. Will never forget it until I own one! Thanks guys!!!

New mobile phone?

Reon had a new mobile phone and a new Dual Core PC. SinChan playing around with new SE phones and also trying to get a new DSLR with Viper for the KLIMS. Me? Nothing... Haha. Not that I can't afford to buy, I just don't need it at the moment? Hehe...

But I think maybe it's time to get a new mobile phone? Reason and feasibility? Well, after the troubles during the trip to Pulau Pangkor previously, with no DiGi coverage at the place I stay, I decided to get a Hotlink line. Already bought a nice number. Now just waiting to activate it. But since I have DiGi and Hotlink line, would it be troublesome to change sim-card often? Seems like a bad idea and fussy. Imagine you need to change sim-card while driving or in a middle of something? Hehe. Lame excuse. There's product out there which allows you to put in dual sim-card in a mobile phone lar... :p

Anyhow, after 3 years of using my good old Nokia 6610, it finally took its toll. Not a big matter, just the decrease sound volume button at the side of the phone malfunctioned. Haha. Now the volume was turned to the maximum and cannot be decreased. Should I send it to repair? Hmm... Might consider that.

New mobile phones are coming out almost every month. I was attracted to the Sony Ericsson mobile phones. But the price was rather a bit high. Not that I don't want to spend, just that I don't want to spend too much on getting just a mobile phone. The trend of phone cam, mp3 music, music player etc were there long time ago. Maybe it's time for me to upgrade?

Hmmm... What mobile phone I can buy and use? I was thinking at the SE K750i, which was my target long time ago. But newer models of SE phones really makes the K750i a bit outdated. 3G was there. But do I need 3G? Another issue that I really need to consider.

Time to get a new mobile phone. I might have extra budget this month, provided my bonus was in this month! Yeah, company is closing account this month. Waiting for bonus and perhaps salary advise... Crossing fingers now... :-S

If I get bonus this month, I definitely can afford the K750i. Don't think will get those more expensive and advanced phones models. 3G service is just a good to have rite? If it's a must have, I'll need to think twice before buying... Hey, any good and affordable Nokie phone models out there? Budget is around RM1K...

There were a lot of things that I would like to buy. Biggest spending would be the new Honda City 1.5L VTEC and maybe a house! Haha... I wonder when can get it... Oh yeah, not forget to mention a nice, beautiful and understanding girlfriend, which could become my future wife! :p

D' Pangkor Day 2 - The End

It's day two! We still have some time left to have fun before going home. But I chosen to sleep till late morning to revive my energy to drive back to KL later. It's drizzling a bit again outside. My colleagues went to swim at the beach. It's checkout time at 12pm. We all packed and prepare to leave.

We went to check out the Dutch Fort and Batu Bersurat before heading back to the jetty to return the motorcycles. We then took our lunch at a nearby restaurant and then proceed to do some shopping at the town. We all bought a lot of things and souvenirs. I guess we all will be bankrupt even before reaching the middle of the month! Haha...

After done shopping and satisfied with it, we headed to the jetty to board the ferry. It's time to say goodbye to Pulau Pangkor! We reached Lumut Jetty at around 3pm. After putting all our belongings into the car, we continued our shopping at Lumut Jetty! There, we bought some sea "food" to bring home. Hehe...

We finally started our journey home at around 6pm. We reached Rawang at around 9pm and decided to stop there to take our dinner since we are all hungry. We settled at a restaurant and finished up the rest of our Pangkor trip budget there. Just enough for a full course dinner. Haha... After dinner, we headed home. I reached home at 10.30pm. What a tiring weekend and holiday! Wow!!! But some bad thing about there is where there's no DiGi coverage at the place we stay, Teluk Nipah! I totally lost contact with the outside world, especially my LOVE ones... :-(

D' Pangkor Day 1

5th May 2006, it's a Friday. As there's a project got into a problem and need to finish it by this week, our plan of office colleagues going to Pulau Pangkor were threw into doubt. But finally we managed to finish it by today. The plan is on!!!

At night, received a bad news as one of my colleague who wants to opt out of the trip. After some persuation and convincing, he finally decides to join back. Good! Let's go! I went to bed at around 12.30am (Saturday). And then woke up at 2.30am! Hard to get to sleep also and only managed to sleep a couple of hours. I hope I can bear with the driving journey.

Packed and drove out to fetch my other colleague nearby. And reach the meeting point at around 3.30am. We finally started our journey at 4am. Before that, we dropped by Projet petrol station to refuel and I pop in a bottle of Livita to keep me awake and stay energized. We went into the PLUS highway at Rawang.

After one hour of drive, we exit at Bidor and into the trunk roads. Took around one and half hour to reach Sekinchan passing Teluk Intan. Had to drive slow a bit with extra careful as it's still dark. It's already sun rise as we reached Lumut at around 8am. Throughout the journey, I didn't really fell asleep. Thanks to the Livita and my colleagues, especially Kakai who kept chit chatting to keep us all awake.

At Lumut port, we found a parking area and parked our car. Cost us RM20 for 2 days! Hmm... We then proceed to take our breakfast. After breakfast, a guy approached us and offered us some packages available. We took the ferry ride, a family room and rent 3 motorcycles with discounted price. Not bad! After that, off we go to the jetty and take our ferry. We all also took out our digital cameras and video camera to start snapping and shooting.

At that time in Lumut Jetty, it started drizzling a bit when we were about to take off on ferry to Pulau Pangkor. Not a good sign... Once we reached Pulau Pangkor. It's still drizzling a bit. I didn't know how long the ferry ride took and what's out there at the sea, coz I slept through the whole ferry journey. Must be too tired after the long hours of driving... :p

After waited a while, we called the person who rented us the motorcycles and took our motorcycles. We went to pump some petrol on the motorcycles. The petrol station there was rather weird. No brand name at all. The sad thing is the petrol price there is RM2.12/liter! Whoa!!!

We then proceed to the hotel, Bayview Beach Resort Hotel. It's the only budget hotel there with swimming pool! Haha. Once settled down at our room, we went out for a walk. It's still drizzling! Where can we go? We decided to swim at the swimming pool in our hotel. Haha...

After that, we had a walk around the beach. We finally found a nice place to settle down and have fun swimming. Nobody was around that area. It's ours! Haha... My colleagues had fun jumping into water, climbing rocks and swimming while I took videos of their act. Kakaka...

After we had enough, we went back to our room and rest a while before taking our lunch. After lunch, we went to an opposite small island for snorkeling by fast boat. So much fun riding on the boat, while thinking back at my time during visit to Redang Island some years back. The small island is popular with snorkeling, where visitors can feed the fishes there with bread. The fishes were like hungry ghost, feeding on the bread like never gonna get bloated. Even our fingers and toes also became their prey! Wah... We spent around 2 hours there and finally went back to shore by fast boat. The best thing while riding back is where the boatman rev the boat and straight away hit the shore. Haha. So fun! ;-) We swim for a while at the beach before heading back to our room.

We went back to our room after that to take some rest + take bath. It's dinner time soon. We decided to ride motorcycle and went around town to look for nice places to eat. Too bad we didn't find any and resorting to taking our dinner at a place nearby our hotel. Even some dishes that we would like to try there were also sold out. I guess it's late for our dinner? Hey, it's only 8pm!

After dinner, we walked around the beach and relax. Nothing much to see and places to go at night. We went to shop for t-shirts as souvenirs at a shop nearby our hotel. I bought a lot of t-shirts. Gonna bankrupt this month!

Chelsea retained the league title

Today was the day where all the Chelsea and Manchester United fans are waiting for. Or perhaps Liverpool fans? Hehe. It's Chelsea vs Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. It's a do or die for Manchester United, my supporting team, to win the match and delay the Chelsea celebration of winning the Premier League title. I guess we all already lost hope and shall see Chelsea winning the title with 3 matches remaining, including this one.

Didn't go anywhere today in the afternoon and evening. In the late evening, I decided to arrange a meeting with my future business partner, Torng to meet at BRJ, Wangsa Maju to watch the match and then discuss about our businesses.

I reached there around 7.15pm. I looked for parking space at my usual place. But noticed there were a couple of traffic police wandering around the area. The area is used to have cars parking at the roadside. It's yellow line! So summons is unavoidable if the traffic police decides to do so. I went to find parking at the designated housing parking area, just need to walk a bit to BRJ. Better be safe ehh?

Torng haven't reached yet. I took my place at a table near the projector and the match was about to start. The place is getting crowded. A lot of people staying nearby came to watch the match. Not sure supporting which team though. Hehe... In the end, I found out most of them were Chelsea fans based on their cheerings. :p

Torng reached around 15 minuted later when the match went into the 6th minute mark. Know what? Chelsea scored their first and an early goal in the 5th minute. What a shock. William Gallas with a free header as his marker went away to "join" another crowd. Poor marking. Haish. Big blow in the early match!

We ordered our dinner, nasi lemak ayam each for both of us and also a roti canai salad ayam, all BRJ's specialties. Hehe. Watch football while taking our dinner. Enjoying or what? :p

Into the second half. Seems like Joe Cole is playing good with his runs and offences. And finally he scored the second goal for Chelsea. Anothe huge blow. Looks like Manchester United will lose the match for sure and Chelsea to win the league title in front of their own fans! Sad...

Twelve minutes later, another bomb! it's 3-0! How can Manchester United allow Chelsea to score another goal! This is humiliating! Even worst when the third goal was scored by a Chelsea defender! Aiyoyo!!! By that time, I guess the match no need to watch already. Just wait to see Chelsea celebrating after winning the league title...

Then comes one more disaster. Rooney was injured. The x-rays diagnosed a broken fourth metatarsal in his right foot. Really bad news. He will be in a serious doubt for England's World Cup matches. What a disaster!

End of the match. Chelsea won 3-0 and claimed the Premier League title. Trophy presentation was taken place after the match. So fast? I bet Manchester United players are leaving the stadium immediately after the match, just like the people around BRJ... :-(

Watched Chelsea lifted the Premier League trophy and celebrate after that. Blue colors all over... Congrats to Chelsea. Well done. In my opinion, I think Chelsea really have a good team. A very consistent team with good all around players. Luck is also on their side also! What Manchester United need is a few good players and a good team that is consistent enough to mount a challenge next season. Buy players!!! Go shopping!!!

After match, me and Torng proceed with our business discussion. We left at around 12am. I then went to meet up with Rok and our gang of friends at his place. My second session. Haha. We yum cha at our place. After that, went back to Rok's place to get our revenge!

It's Winning Eleven time! We played using Manchester United and against Chelsea. After a couple of matches, we finally won. Haha... Then we played Konami Cup using England. Too bad we lost in the final twice and finally call it a day. We went home at 5am! Haha...

PC Fair April 2006

Today was supposed to visit the last day of PC Fair with a friend. But due to last minute change of plans, I had to go with my friend, Reon, who was already went there for the past 2 days! :P

I need to go there to buy some stuff for my video editing. Parents just came back from Korea and got lotsa videos to do editing. Rean wants to look for LCD monitor as there were some bargains there. On our way there, it's raining heavily. Some minor flood also happened on our way. Nothing can block our way to PC Fair!

Once we reached, we straight away walked to PC Fair. It's only a "one way street" through the exhibition halls and no turning back. Wah... First three halls not much to see. But Jessica and Rose were there. I help took pictures of them with Reon. Haha. Who will envy now? Then we proceed to start our mission to PC Fair, hunt for bargains for stuffs we want to buy!

Finally, I settled and bought my stuffs and Reon didn't buy anything. We decided to leave the PC Fair and look for a place to have our dinner. Where to ? Hakka Yong Tau Fu at Kepong!

There, we had two plates of rice each and we ordered 25 pieces of yong tau fu. Total damage was around RM16. Cheap eh? Ate till full... After dinner, we went to walk around the night market nearby to lessen the burden of our stomach. Haha. Then we went home... Aiks, tomorrow had to start work again with another new week ahead... :-(

Today I had a presentation at a customer place at 9am. So I had to take off early from home and reach customer place earlier. At first, I thought I am the one going to give the presentation. And I was fully prepared for it. I was already familiar with the product, especially on the technical details. But eventually, my boss, who happens to attend the presentation too, gave the presentation himself. I was only there to add up some points. The presentation only took 30 minutes and there were other vendors who will present their solutions also.

After the presentation, I took off to another customer place at Putrajaya and met up with two technical colleagues. There wasn't much work to do there and we finished our work at around 1.30pm. At that time, we wondered where should we go afterwards. Anywhere also can but definitely not back to office so soon yet! Haha...

Finally, since we haven't took lunch, we decided to take our lunch at a place recommended by one of my technical colleague, who stays in Jalan Gombak area. We're going to try the famous chicken rice there!

When we reached the place, it was quite packed with patrons. The place is really famous. Can tell from the number of patrons there. The place is quite small too! Anyway, it is located near the Gombak Market and just right in front of the mosque! The name sounds like "Man Cong Kang". Familiar? It sounds like "mencengkam" in Malay language. It means getting a grip and feels powerful. Good name ehh? Anyway, it's a Malay style chicken rice...

What's so famous with the chicken rice there? It's simply famous with its crispy chicken. ;-) Not forget to mention the rice given was quite a lot too! After eating, sure full. Haha... Price was reasonable with Rm3.50 for normal chicken rice and Rm3.80 for the crispy chicken rice. Why it's crispy? It's because the chicken was deep fried to get the crispiness.

As usual, for Malay style chicken rice, chicken, a soup and chilli sauce were given. But there, the chicken were dipped with black sauce and it taste a bit sweet. As for the chilli sauce, it tastes like sweet and sour. Plus with the soup, there's a piece of chicken fat in it and some chilli. It tastes like fat and a bit hot. So many different tastes. Hehe...

The environment there was quite hot too! After a few minutes eating your meal, you will start to feel the heat and start sweating! Haha. Good place for sauna + eating? :P After meal, while enjoying your drinks, you will feel refreshed and cool. Nice!!! Overall, a great meal and experience for three of us! Thanks to my technical colleague for the recommendation! Now the place was added to my list of best chicken rice in KL. Haha...

After the meal, we decided to hang around a small shopping mall at Danau Kota to kill the time before heading back to office. While hanging around, we finally settled at a snooker lounge! We played 2 rounds of snooker there. Long time didn't play snooker. Had fun there...

Wait... Are we "curi tulang" from work? I think so. Haha...

At around 4.30pm, we finally call it a day and head back to office. Hehe...

Another Honda Civic Roadshow

Here goes another Honda Civic Roadshow, to be held at 1-Utama. Me and Reon planned to go there. Reon with his Canon 30D DSLR. We already felt weird as we already went to 1-Utama for many times since these couple of months. Really lotsa events held at 1-Utama. Today is Honda Civic Roadshow. Next week there's an appearance of Stephanie Sun for OSIM UZap promotional event there. Going there again? Haha... Will see...

My digital camera and video camera were with my parents, who went for a trip to Korea yesterday. So I had to use Reon's video camera to capture something at the roadshow. Hopefully...

We were there at around 4pm. When we were in the parking area looking for parking, we got so lucky as after we got our parking ticket at the entrance. We straight away found a parking space! First time so lucky and so fast got a parking at 1-Utama! But once we left the car, I noticed a sign on the wall at the back of the car saying No Parking. Offender vehicles will be clamped. RM50 for compound. Aiks. Discussed with Reon and decided to find another parking space. Better to be safe yeah... RM50 not a small amount also and better not ask for troubles... As soon as we lef tthe aprking space, another car took the parking space. It's not really a parking space ler. Hehe...

As we were driving along looking for parking, we saw many cars parked illegally and beside the No Parking signs. And guess what? Of all the cars, one of their tyres were clamped! Me and Reon felt relieved that we didn't take the parking space just now. As we drive along, a lot of cars were clamped because they parked illegally. 1-Utama must be earning some extra incomes from them. Haha...

Why people just can't find a proper parking space and park their car? Why so lazy to find a proper parking space? At least you felt safe and save all the troubles when eventually found out that your car was clamped. A small laziness leads to troubles...

Once we found a parking space, at our usual "hunting" area - rooftop, we went to the Honda Civic Roadshow at Oval section in new wing. No big events were held at 1-Utama except the Honda Civic Roadshow and Standard Charted roadshow about savings account for children.

This time, we noticed the roadshow was better. With 4 new Honda Civic models and a transparent model being shown at the roadshow. The Oval section was actually quite huge. Best fit for big events. My next attraction was to the roadshow girls. Too bad Joanne didn't work on the roadshow. But Jessica was. Hehe...

Me and Reon went down and have a look at the roadshow. Reon managed to chit chat with Jessica. We took a closer look at the cars (again?) and sit in it and feel it. :p When am I gonna buy this car? If I happens to attend another Honda Civic Roadshow, I might just straight away place a booking! Haha...

After a while, Reon went off to test shoot his Canon 30D and I went up a floor and start shooting video of a Honda Civic presentation, which started at 5.30pm. I don't have digital camera, so have to use the video camera to take photos. :p

After we're done with the roadshow, me and Reon went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Reon's treat for my birthday yesterday! Thanks dude! ^_^ b

After dinner, we went back to my place. It's the main focus of the night, Manchester United vs Arsenal at Old Trafford. Man Utd must win the match to stay behind Chelsea for the Premiership title race. Can Man Utd really catch Chelsea? Time and fate will tell. But most people will say it's hard to chase.

Finally, Man Utd won the exciting match by 2-0 with goals from the wonderboy Wayne Rooney and Korean Park Ji-Sung, his first goal in the Premiership. Well done to them!!!

Galaxie magazine new look launch party

Last night me and Reon got the news about Galaxie Magazine new look launch party, which will be held at 1-Utama Rainforest Lower Ground Floor. News that some local celebrities such as Hannah Sarah Tan, Serena C, Stephanie Chai and Jojo Struys will be there for the party. Not sure how the party looks like though... But since me and Reon are free, we decided to drop by...

We reached there at around 3pm. No traffic jam there. I guess most people went back to hometown for "Ching Ming". Once we were in 1-Utama, we straight away went to look for the Galaxie magazine new look launch party at lower ground floor, Rainforest section. We faced some difficulty locating the place as we were in doubt of such event held at Rainforest section. April Fool's Day? Haha...

Finally, we managed to find the place! To our surprise, the setup was rather small and simple. A bit disappointing though. I thought it was a big and good setup with explosive atmosphere. Haha... After watching and surveying around, we went to walk around another roadshow held nearby at the Oval section. There was a LG roadshow, showcasing latest electronics, gadgets and appliances by LG. Reon took out his Canon 30D and start taking photos on the LG Roadshow. There, we met lovely Cecilia, who is showcasing latest mobile phone models by LG. She allowed Reon to take her photos. Yehaa!!!

Once we got back to the Galaxie magazine new look launch party, Reon continued to take some photos as the event gets hotter. I also took out my new video camera and record the event. Our main attention was at Hannah Sarah Tan. Hehe...

Tablet PC!

Today office received a customer bulk order from a distributor. The customer order was a few units of Fujitsu P Series Lifebook. Initially when I had a look at it when my technical colleague was configuring the laptop, I thought it was just a normal mini-sized laptop. But when I got hold of it, I was in a bit of shock as it was in fact a tablet PC! From Fujitsu! I wonder how much is the price...

The size was relatively small. With twistable screen of course. As I have my digital camera with me as always, I took some photos. ;-)

Futsal time!!!

Today as scheduled, me and my office colleagues are having a futsal game at a nearby futsal center in Wangsa Maju. I think this is the first time my office had a sport outing! Good thing that the office is willing to sponsor the futsal game and food + drinks. Haha...

Today I finished work quite late and only reached office from Putrajaya around 7pm! As usual, had to go through the Friday after office hour traffic jam. Some issues at customer site also delayed my time to go back to office.

After settled my reports and stuffs at office, we went to the futsal center. Our session was supposed to start at 8pm until 9pm. My office will have a friendly match with a team, which is one of my technical colleague's friends. The technical colleague will join his friends and play against us! Traitor? Haha...

The match starts at 8pm. I was in the starting playing team. Coming back to think about it, I haven't been kicking a football and play a real game for a very long time! Also, today is also the first time I'm playing futsal! I'm expecting a really tiring game. A whole day of work will also add to my "tired points". Hehe...

It's 5 against 5... Some of my office's colleague haven't arrive yet and we have to start the match. We only have an hour to play! First few minutes we were trying to cope with the game. Not all of us played futsal before! Haha. We are up against a team that plays futsal two times a week! We are surely the underdogs... Can we win this match? The odds are 1:100! Keke...

Finally, our opponent scored the first goal of the game. As expected la. But I do agree that our team did defended quite well. Some of our opponents attack and shot were off target and saved nicely by our goalkeeper! By the way, we switched goalkeeper a few times when there's a substitution. Our opponent sticked to their one and only goalkeeper and he is wearing gloves! Ours don't. Haha... :p

Then we managed to bring the score level after our best player of the hour scored the equaliser. 1-1! It's from long range too!

Substitution was made and I was off the field sometimes to take some rest. It is really exhausting. We need to run almost everywhere. Good and disciplined breathing is vital...

During the 1 hour match, I managed to missed 3 chances! First was where my shot bounces off the advancing goalkeeper. Second was a cross from teammate at the side, my body was quite advanced to the goal and the ball hit my side waist and went inches wide. Argh!!! Third was even worst! Another cross in from the side, the cross beats the goalkeeper. I was in front of the goal with nobody guarding the goal mouth already, and I managed to hit my slow shot inches wide again! Again! Arrrggghhh!!! My colleagues were shouting at how I could afford to miss that! Haha...

But the good news is that I scored a goal! Hehe. Another cross in at the side from a teammate, I took a direct shot, it deflects off the advancing goalkeeper and went into the net! Yahoo!!!!!

Finally, the score was 8-2, with us at the loosing side. As expected but the score was quite OK la, since we were newbies in futsal. Haha. Perhaps I could bring the score to a better one. Hehe. My colleagues were doing very well too. Not forget to mention we also have a few shots went inches wide. Great match! We also lost because we didn't have the stamina and skills in playing futsal. Overall, all of us enjoyed the 1 hour match! Our office admin staffs also came to watch the match and give support. Thanks!!! ;-)

After the match, we had our dinner and drink at the nearby stall. We went home after that, feeling tired, happy and satisfied. Next futsal session coming up soon! Can't wait! ;-)

Flat again... Almost...

Today I'm bringing 3 technical colleagues to Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam (SPA) at Putrajaya. There's a deployment of Sophos Anti Virus on-site. The project was delayed for a while and will be delayed further as there were some issues with the newly supplied computers.

Before we started our journey, We noticed my rear right tyre (again...) was a bit "air-less". We also noticed there were some scrathes like signs on the side of the tyre. The tyre is loosing air due to that most probably.

I have no choice but to start my 40km+ journey to Putrajaya. So far so good. Once we reached there, we noticed the tyre had lost out like 1/2 of the air. I think this is not looking good. I've decided to change the tyre before going back to office after work at Putrajaya. I'm fetching another 3 person. I think the almsot flat tyre will not able to handle the weight... Bad news... :-(

4.30pm. Time to leave. And it's raining once I reached the car and wanted to change the tyre! Really bad luck lar... But we managed to find a place and changed the tyre. So far so good and off we went back to the office with the spare tyre. It's the third time in around 2 months I have tyre problems! First was a complete puncture, second one is almost flat due to a nail pinned to the tyre. Strange thing was where it all happens to the rear right tyre! :-o I can be expert in changing tyre already. Haha... :p

Talking about deja vu. I always looked at all my tyres when want to drive out. Hope I don't see another flat tyre again!!! And people who might saw it doesn't even bother to inform or give me signs that I have a tyre problem! Disappointed...

Special meal

Today met up with a friend, where I'm gonna collect her PC for repair. The PC was heavily infected by spyware and after self-repair, she wasn't able to boot into Windows XP desktop. Something was wrong with the file system.

We met up at her office in ExxonMobil building and went to KLCC for dinner. We settled at Kim Gary Restaurant at AvenueK. This is the first time I step into Kim Gary Restaurant. Why? Because the restaurant was usually full, expecially at Sg. Wang. So I didn't bother to wait in the queue and eat there. But I do heard the food and environment were nice in there!

I ordered Cheese baked rice with pork slice sze chuan style and my friend ordered Hong Kong "maggi mee" according to her. Hehe. It comes with hot and spicy pork. Too bad I forgot the full name of the meal. :( But it sure was delicious! In fact, all were delicious! Kekeke...

The environemnt there is really nice. And not much people dining there too! I guess not much people hang out at AvenueK. The place is not really a popular place. The shops there are not fully rented out too.

We had a great meal. After dinner, we went walking around KLCC and chit chat, as we didn't really met for a long time.

It's showtime again!

Today, as planned, me and Reon went to Midvalley Megamall for the Honda Civic and Honda F1 Roadshow. We took off from our place at around 3pm. We will meet up with Reon's Low Yat Forum friends, Viper and Sin Chan at Midvalley Megamall. There were already there at noon. I heard Viper purposely came back to KL for the roadshows! Haha...

We reached there and found difficulty in getting a car parking place. Only one of the car park entrance were allowed for cars to go in. And the place has limited parking space. The parking section was overwhelmed and flooded by cars. How to get a parking space in such condition? Why not just open all the parking areas, let the cars get in and let them search for the parking space themselves? With such way, we can minimize the number of cars within one parking section and prevent cars flooding in one particular parking area. Haish... Poor management...

Finally we took half an hour to get a parking space! We were lucky though. Really need luck in finding a parking space. Be at the right place at the right time...

After getting into Midvalley, we met up with Viper and Sin Chan, who is having their drinks at 3rd floor. After some TCSS, we went ahead to the nearby Honda F1 Roadshow at 3rd floor. There, we saw Jesicca and some new Honda F1 girls. We took out our gears and start taking photos. We all took photos with Stephy, a Honda F1 girl there, except Reon. Hehe. Forgot our good old brother...

After that, we went to buy DV tape for Reon's digital video camera and then straight down to the Honda Civic Roadshow at Center Court Concourse level. After scouting and touching around the 2 models of Honda Civic for a while, we took out our gears again and start to take some photos.

By that time, a presentation show started. It was presented by a Honda Civic embassador there. I thought Joanne is going to present it. Hmmm... A bit disappointed perhaps...

Without wasting anytime, I took out Reon's DV and started taking video on the presentation. Joanne was in charge of helping the presentation. The crowd was a bit reluctant to get near the preentation and cars. I had to be the first to move to the front to get a better place to shoot video. Applauds by the other guys! Haha...

Joanne noticed us there and me shooting video of the presentation. I just proceed without any interference. I managed to record the whole presentation. Phweeew!

After that, we hang around the two new models of Honda Civic and another barebone/invisible model to get some better view. After a while, we were approached by the person in charge of the roadshow not to take photos and videos there. We had to stop then. According to Joanne, there were some rude photographers taking their photos. Those people spoiled our reputations and our freedom. Bah!!! But anyway, Reon managed to sneak in and took a few photos of the roadshow and Joanne! Haha. Salute!

We then settled down at Burger King and took refreshments there. We ordered a family meal. Thanks to Sin Chan! Haha... ;)

After rest enough, we went back to the Honda F1 Roadshow. We continue our photo and video shooting there. For the last time because tomorrow will be the official F1 race day. After that, no more F1 roadshows this year... :p

As we were going to call it a day at Midvalley Megamall, we met up with Firewire. We decided to go to Low Yat Plaza and perhaps take our dinner there. Off we go to Low Yat Plaza.

As we reached there, me and Reon hang out at Low Yat Plaza IT floor to take some price list, while waiting for Sin Chan, Viper and Firewire to arrive.

We then met up at Sg. Wang and looked for a place to have our dinner. We finally decided to take our dinner at a chinese restaurant at the Sg. Wang Plaza entrance. We ordered a half duck and a "mar por" taufu. Hope it can fill all our five people's stomach! Hehe... Overall, quite a good meal... Satisfied... ;)

After dinner, we finally call it a day. We then went home feeling happy and satisfied. Can't wait to look at my video shootings later!

Honda Civic & F1 Roadshow @ Midvalley Megamall

Today is the first day of the newly launched Honda Civic and also the Honda F1 Roadshow, to be held at Midvalley Megamall until Sunday. I didn't have any schedule today initially. But at noon, I was asked to help collect the Sophos server currently doing proof of concept (POC) at Faculty of Science in Universiti Putra Malaysia.

After collection, I need to send the server back to our partner. It was a loan server for the POC. Then, I need to drive all the way to PJ at another partner's warehouse to configure laptops to be installed with Sophos Anti Virus. The initial idea is to install Sophos Anti Virus on a master laptop and the partner will perform ghosting on other 48 units of laptops based on the master copy. I not sure how long will it take...

I returned the server and it was timed at 3.30pm. There's still time to catch as the appointment with the partner at their warehouse was at 6pm. Off I go to Midvalley Megamall to catch the first day of the Honda Civic and Honda F1 Roadshow. Without much hassle, I reached there at around 4pm.

I went direct to the center court and the Honda Civic Roadshow was nicely setup at the concourse level. As I walked around the area, scouting and looking at the new Honda Civic, I realised Joanne was at the Honda Civic Roadshow! I thought she was at the Honda F1 Roadshow. She was here instead.

I took my time looking at the 1.8L and 2.0L of the new Honda Civic. Overall really an excellent car! If I have the money, I really would buy and drive it. But too bad I can't afford it. Maybe I can only afford a Honda City. Hehe.

5pm. There was a presentation to be held, to introduce the new Honda Civic along with its new designs and features. Guess who is going to do the presentation? It's one of Honda Civic's ambassador - Joanne! The presentation was in English version... Can't wait for it and can't miss it!

The presentation started nicely with Joanne speaking in English. I didn't expect she's gonna do that. Duhhh... Joanne introduced the 1.8L and then the 2.0L model. The crowd gathers around the cars to get close to the presentation. And of course I also get as close as possible to catch the glimpse and presentation of Joanne. :p

During the presentation, Joanne was reading on cards while introducing the designs and features of the new Honda Civic. Well, of course we don't expect everyone to memorize all the features of the Honda Civic and give an error-free presentation rite? Joanne was doing a great job and able to mix with the audience. Well done! She even asked me to get into the car and have a good look when introducing the interior. That time I was standing right beside her. :P I didn't get in. Paiseh? Haha... Regretted.. :(

During the presentation, when I was standing in front of Joanne, she looked at me sometimes. Before this I haven't approach her as I was only introduced to her by my best pal, Reon during the last Honda F1 Roadshow at 1-Utama. I not sure whether she still remembers me or not. Crossing fingers... Maybe she was trying to figure out who am I because I looked familiar? Hehe...

You migh wonder, how come I didn't take photos and videos? Well, I did bring along my camera! Just that as I was looking around the roadshow, nobody was taking photos! I also feel paiseh to take photos. Haha. Take video on Joanne's presentation? I wish I could do that with my digital camera. But I was too excited listening and watching Joanne's presentation. I totally forgot about that! Really too bad... :( Someone must be angry at me about this... Hehe...

After the presentation, I took a walk to the third floor to catch the Honda F1 Roadshow. I was a bit surprised as the roadshow area was quite packed. Compared to the roadshow at 1-Utama last fortnight, this is a really really small and limited space. I noticed Jesicca was there. I walked around there to get some glance at her. I didn't take any photos. The surrounding was not well lightened also. Taking photos will need flash. I need to remind Reon and others about that when coming to take photos here. After that, I went back down to the Honda Civic Roadshow.

I walked around for a while. When it's time to go, I approached Joanne. I asked her whether she remembers me or not. I guessed right, I looked familiar to her but she can't recall who am I! I introduced myself to her and she finally recalls who am I. Haha. After chatting for a short while and greeting farewell, I went off. Need to rush to PJ. Haish...

I reached PJ at around 6.30pm. Went straight up to the warehouse along with the engineer there and discussed about how to proceed with setting up the laptops with Sophos Anti Virus. In the end, I was told that they didn't have the cable to connect the laptop hard disk to the PC workstation to perform the ghosting. Thus, I have to install Sophos Anti Virus on 49 units of PC! In one night? What the... ... ...

I started work at around 7.30pm. I was also treated KFC for dinner. Haha. Not bad ler... Until 10pm, I only managed to finish 12 laptops! Took too many times. Imagine the time and steps I had to spent on one laptop, unpack the laptop off the box, plug in the battery, turn it on, initialize the Windows XP and settings, uninstall pre-installed Norton Anti Virus, reboot laptop, install Sophos Anti Virus, configure Sophos Anti Virus, turn off laptop, pack it and put it back into the box. Wahhh... I was actually doing a few laptops at one time to save the time... Still too slow...

By that time, I have to give up. It's getting late. As engineer, I don't get any OT for working till this late! Too bad ehh? After discussion with the engineer there, he decided to find and get the required cable. It would save a lot of time and work. Besides Sophos Anti Virus installation, they also need to configure other settings on the laptops. After a small chat with the engineer and get to know about the partner company, I went home at 10.30pm. Tired! But thinking back at the Midvalley outing just now, felt happy. Haha... ;)

After the photo shooting session at Putrajaya with Reon. We proceed to 1-Utama at Damansara from Alamanda Putrajaya. As usual, quite a jam when reaching 1-Utama. As if every cars were using that road to go somewhere. It gets crowded and causes bottlenecks. Didn't expect at such time, lotsa people were coming out for shopping?

We finally set our foot in 1-Utama old wing at around 3.45pm. We were supposed to get to the new wing for the Honda F1 roadshow. As we were on our way, we came across ENEOS roadshow. There were selling car accessories and also an auction going on there. Surprisingly, there were ENEOS girls distributing free On The Road (outdated) car magazines and ENEOS brochures. Some really look great! Hehe... :p

We walked around the exhibition area. Reon found a car sitcker with a VTEC Inside logo. After finished walking around the area. It's time for us to take some photos. Off we go. Once on fire, never gonna stop eh?

Now, we came across Shell F1 Roadshow. So many happenings in 1-Utama! We again walked around the exhibition area. Nothing much about the area, except a Ferrari F1 car. Shell is the official fuel for Ferrari F1 team. We continue our journey...

Once we reached the target scene - Honda F1 Roadshow, we survey around the exhibition area on the upper floor. Then we went down and walked around. Comparing to the Shell F1 Roadshow, the space that the Honda F1 Roadshow had was quite huge. The Honda F1 Roadshow didn't really occupy the whole concourse area. The area was quite empty with lotsa walking space. But anyway, nevermind about that. Attention are to the girls! :p

After done walking and looking around, me and Reon prepared our gears and started taking photos. After a while, I also took out Reon's digital video camera and started taking videos. If you were at the scene, you would see a guy with a bag hanging on his shoulder, eyes staring at the LCD panel of the digital video camera held by both the hands, and walking around the Honda F1 Roadshow taking videos. Most attention were focused on the ladies. Of course on Joanne! :D

Anyway, I met my college friend, Mike with his girlfriend. We chit chat for a while. He thought I was working for the Honda F1 Roadshow. :p

After a couple of hours "hunting", Joanne and a few ladies went off to take their dinner and rest.. Me and Reon want to take some rest too. But we stumbled upon another show - Ivory Romance Bridal Show. After quite a long waiting time, the bridal show finally started. While Reon was taking photos using his DSLR, a short guy came over to inform us that this is a private show and taking photos were not allowed, unless we pay and get a pass. HUH? Private show at a public area? That p*ss*d us off. We left the scene and go walk around 1-Utama and also the Shell F1 Roadshow. Need some refreshment...

After resting, we went back to Honda F1 Roadshow and continue our "job". Reon met up with his gang of photographers as I continue my shootings. In the end, Reon and I took photos together with Joanne. I was also introduced by Reon to Joanne at that time. Haha... :p

Finally, we called it a day. Time to go home and before that, take our dinner too! We went to Kepong and had Yong Tau Foo there. Long time didn't had Yong Tau Foo. We ate till full and the cost of the whole meal was only RM10+! What a surprise for us. Around RM5 for each person for a full meal, not bad eh!!!

After dinner, we went home - finally. We were out whole day from 9am until 10pm! Before going home, I dropped by at Reon's place to copy out the IXUS 40 digital camera photos and look at what I captured on the digital video camera.

All around a great, fun and 100% satisfying day... Yehaaa!!!

A happening Saturday morning

9am. Off I go to fetch Reon at his house. Then we took our breakfast together at a nearby Chinese restaurant. After breakfast, we started our journey to Putrajaya. Reon lend me his Canon Ixus 40 digital camera, while he will be using his Olympus DSLR brought back from his office. Reon also brought along his digital video camera. Reason is to shoot at the Honda F1 event - Joanne... :p

We reached Putrajaya at around 10.45am. We thought of going around the Parcel D and Parcel C to see if there's any nice place to take photos. But we didn't manage to get in as the main gate was closed and with guards guarding. Perhaps only special personels and reasons were only allowed to go in. So off we went to Dataran Putra.

Dataran Putra, is where we can take photos of the Putrajaya Mosque and Prime Ministers' office. Also the flags of all the districts in Malaysia. After parking my car, we started to walk arond and take photos.

After that, we proceed to the Ministry of Finance building and then the Palace of Justice. The building and area was so huge. Opposite the Palace of Justice is the Kompleks Perbandaran Putrajaya. Another amazing view and design.

We wonder how much the government spent on the buildings and architectures. Spending citizen's taxes? The area was so huge and there were huge amount of empty areas and spaces. The only thing Putrajaya lacks is the parking space. You can see visitors and employees working in Putrajaya park their car easily anywhere. There's simply not enough parking space! This is especially at Parcel D and C. People can park their car beside the main Putrajaya road.

All the time I went pass the Palace of Justice and Kompleks Perbandaran Putrajaya, I didn't notice the landscape design and architecture were so beautiful until I actually walk into the area today. It's like you are in a different country when coming to Putrajaya.

Then, we proceed to the famous Putrajaya bridge. Again, a bridge with cool and beautiful design. During the night, it's even more amazing and beautiful with the lightings. Maybe we can come back someday to take the photos at night in Putrajaya? At the Putrajaya bridge, we have some difficulty looking for good spots to take photos of the bridge. Reon and I went our own ways to take photos. There's almost nobody around the area. That makes us a bit careful when exploring alone there.

After finishing our photo shooting session at the area, we went to Alamanda Putrajaya for a rest. And for our lunch too! It's already 2pm. We had McD there. Free refill of drinks! Haha... We were so thirsty that morning under the hot sun.

After lunch, we went to the Alamanda Park area to see if there's any nice scenes to take photos. Too bad nothing nice there. But I'm sure it's nice during the night... Me and Reon took a photo of both of us together and then we called it a day at Putrajaya for the photo shooting session.

Saturday planning

The night before Saturday, met my best pal Reon online and talked about plans to go KL on Saturday. Initially, we planned to go visit the Honda F1 event held at 1-Utama new wing. Joanne was there. :p

Reon also informed me about a new contest currently running in Velocity Forums. Grand prize is a Canon DSLR camera! Then I thought hey, why not go and try take photos and participate in it? But too bad my digital camera was with my father, who went to Labuan. Only will be back on Sunday.

After confirmation with Reon, we finally settled for a major Saturday outing. In the morning, we will be going to Putrajaya for photo shooting session. After that, we will proceed straight to 1-Utama to catch the Honda F1 event. This is gonna be fun!

Road safety

Yesterday received a letter from a long lost penpal. Was glad to hear from her again. But after reading her letter, felt sad as she mentioned about her story of meeting an accident while riding on a motorbike and got hit behind by a car in KL. She suffered from a broken leg. She had to rest and unable to walk for more than three months! Takes a lot of courage and time to recover. She is now doing fine. Glad to hear that.

That story reminds me of a good friend since primary school. A really sad story. He eventually met an accident that could cause him to lose his life! It was really a bad day. He was not supposed to go to work that day. Fate lead him to the accident and now he's lying on the bed with no response and everybody felt sad to see him. Unable to see how his future beholds...

The story begins with him having to work on a day that he was not supposed to. He was driving on a highway during a raining day. His car was on the fast lane and it hits a water logged stretch. His car skidded and hit the side barrier on the right. The sad part starts from there onwards that I will not write in further detail.

My friend broke his back bone at the head part and he was paralysed from shoulder downwards. At once he lost a lot of blood for a duration of 5 minutes and that done a lot of damage to his brain. He's now semi-concious and giving less response.

I'm scared to see him. Couldn't face the truth and fate. Things can happen anytime, especially on the road. Always reminds ownself to drive carefully while on the road. But we never know what will happen next. Remember the flying Kancil incident in my previous post? Maybe it's others that causes it. We will never know. If something really happens, it's up to your fast response to react and get out of the danger. It's all up to you. You are on your own.

So people out there. Drive carefully and be good to others.

Freak accident

Today was the second day of Domain and Active Directory training at Malaysian Intelectual Property Organization at Menara Dayabumi. It started at around 10.30am and ended aroud 1.30pm. We again had nasi lemak with tea and coffee for breakfast and lunch was nasi briani with fried chicken. Delicious!

After training, me and my technical colleague went loitering at Times Square and Low Yat Plaza to kill the time before going back to office. Next time going there I shall park my car at Times Square. Maximum rate for weekdays were RM4 and weekend was RM6. Need to remember that...

After office hour, I drive home as usual. From the Wangsa Maju road turning into MRR2 highway, there was a bit of jam due to the traffic light at the MRR2 junction. Once I passed the traffic light and turned into MRR2, I managed to get to the fast lane and drove off.

Suddenly I saw a big dust coming out from the other side of the road up front. Then suddenly I saw a purple Perodua Kancil slipped and flipped 360 degrees on the air with wheels not on the road!. Scary scene. I couldn't stop. Only saw a glimpse and went off back home. I hope the driver and passenger in there was ok. It was really a freak accident! I wonder how it happened. The stretch was a bit bending to the right. But not as dangerous as it would cause an accident. Perhaps lost control or hit something perhaps. Surely traffic jam soon afterwards on that stretch after that freak accident.

The most scariest part was seeing the Kancil flipped 360 degrees on the air! Well, Kancil was a small and compact car. Maybe its gravity point was low and while on a fast speed, lost control and hit something, I think could be difficult to control the car and would flip or thrown over? Anything can happen...

Reminded me just now while on the way leaving office to get to my car, my other technical colleague drove pass me with his modded Kancil at a fast speed. Can really hear the turbo charged Kancil shifting gear. Nice sound! But driving fast like that can be dangerous...

Another training

Today is the beginning of 3 days training week for Malaysian Intelectual Property Organization. It's administrative training for Active Directory and services.

Training was supposed to start at 9am as scheduled. But I asked for delay as i knew there would be traffic jam in KL even though I go out early. Customer had no problems with it. I reached office at 8.30am, grabbed the training manuals and my laptop and shoot off direct to Menara Dayabumi at around 8.40am along with a technical colleague.

As expected, traffic jam on the way. Still a lot of people leaving their home to office late. I took off at 8.40am and finally reached Menara Dayabumi one hour later. Even though I took another route with less traffic jam, it's still the same. I shall ask the customer to start the training at a later time in the next two days training, say around 9.30am to 10am, so that I won't be caught in a jam. Usually from office to Menara Dayabumi only takes around 25 minutes.

As I reached the customer site and went up to the respective floor meeting room, the customer was already there preparing for the training. We will be using laptops conencted to the network for practical and hands-on training. That way we can understand better by testing ourselves.

Before we start, as expected, we had our prepared breakfast. It's nasi lemak with tea. Quite a big one. I couldn't finish it because I already had my breakfast before going to office this morning. But the breakfast there was prepared for the training, so why not just eat a bit rite? :p

After breakfast, we started the training. Along the training was quite fun. The technical person at customer site was very friendly and like to make jokes. Those were the one we really can have fun hanging out together. Actually they were the guys who went along with me to their branch site at Sabah and Sarawak last time! We had great time working and having fun there. Makes me think back the good old days at Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

The training finally stopped at 1pm due to the projector used in training was required by a director for a meeting at Putrajaya. So we had to sacrifice the projector and shall continue our training next day.

At the same time, lunch was ready! It's mixed rice malay style. This is new. We had our lunch in the training room and chit chat while eating. So fun...

We were all very full after having the nasi lemak in the earlier morning. Our lunch dessert was mandarin oranges. Haha... Left overs for Chinese New Year? Don't care, took one and ate it. Keke...

Training ended that time and me and my technical colleague went walking around the area at Central Market, Wisma S&M and Kota Raya to waste a bit of time before going back to office. :p

Today also sampled Bubur Asyura brought by a staff from office. Before this I wonder how does it looks like. Once saw it and tasted it, tasted really nice! It's like a rice porridge but cooked in coconut milk, with mixture of ground nuts, green peas, red peas and lotsa other things that I have no idea what was it! :p It's not waterish like porridge but more to hardened style. I wonder why it's called Bubur Asyura since it's not really bubur? Haha... Thanks Nadz!

Tiring day on site

Today I thought I would be staying in the office whole day and prepare for Domain/Active Directory Administration Training for Malaysian Intelectual Property Organization (Perbadanan Harta Intelek Malaysia). But once I reached office in the morning, I was scheduled to follow the technical colleagues to Kompleks Kraftangan at Jalan Conlay.

The building was newly built and everything was still in a bad shape in the interior. It was currently under renovation. But the exterior was extremly nice and beautiful with handycraft designs. I will post the photo of it if possible later.

We reached there and started work at around 10.30am. Time to get dirty! This is the first time I went in and was totally amazed by the situation of renovation works currently being done there. My company actually doing the job of establishing networking and connections in the building. This including pulling network cables, plug in core switch and management switches. Not an easy task. We need to wait for the other contractors to finish their job before we proceed to our job.

Today was the day we plug in the core switch, management switches, cable management and i was in charge of setting up the wireless access point. Previosly the technicals spent their Saturday and Sunday pulling the network cables and tested with Fluke. Today even our boss alone also help us a lot in setting up the devices!

There were three floors to plug in all the network devices. All the hard works took a lot of time and we finally finished it at around 7pm! After doing testing on network access and tidying up, we finally leave at around 8pm. Too bad I didn't bring along my digital camera to capture the moments and nice "sceneries" there. :-(

Off we went back to the office to return the used/unused stuff for the work today. Only took a while and realized the office was locked. Had to call our colleagues to come back to open up the door. They were just around the office area. After settled down in the office, off we went to have our dinner at a local mamak stall. Was quite thirsty then and we had our meal.

Overall it was a very enjoyable and tiring day. Finally the work at Kompleks Kraftangan was done. Phweew... It's nice to get dirty once a while. :p

24th February - Office treated the guys who worked overtime at the Kraftangan Project a meal at KFC Wangsa Maju. Never mind about the bird flu... Free dinner!

Fun time

Last night had a great time. Initially me and my gang of high school friends planned for a TT session. At nigh time, we met online at around 10.30pm and started to talk about the TT session. As time goes by, we were like talking non-sense and having fun chit chatting on MSN Messenger. At one time my 2 friends even send a voice clip recording own sound and we laugh out until unable to take it. It was so fun. It has been quite a while we didn't had a group conversation online and play until cannot take it anymore. We could have continued for more but we really have to go out as the time was already reaching 11.15pm.

Off we went to another friends' place for the TT session. Total 5 of us there. We talked much about our other friends' wedding day to be held at later November. We discussed about wedding plans and the importance of a good foundation when married and having a family. This is really important so that we won't have any complications later on. Overall it was a great night. Really enjoyed it. ;-)

Train and eat...

Today is the day I'll conduct Sophos Anti Virus training for Ministry of Agriculture. I reach the place at around 10am. Once done setup my laptop at the training room, I began to conduct the training at 10.30am. It has been quite a while I didn't conduct Sophos Anti Virus training. But I managed to go throught it without any problems.

As the training starts at 10.30am, break was called at around 11.30am. Eating time! Breakfast was already prepared earlier. Some of the users attending the training already took the breakfast. Me and my colleague went along and took our second breakfast - mee goreng with telur. Hehe.

At the same time, lunch was also prepared and was ready to serve - rice with fried chicken, tom yam fish and vegetables. We took 2nd breakfast + lunch. Wow... After that, we resume the training at around 12.30pm. We didn't had any break after that and finished the training at around 2.30pm.

Tea time was served! Eat again. Haha. This time is some kuih and tea + coffee. After finishing and done some troubleshooting on the Sophos server, we went off and back to office.

Really like to attend functions or trainings in government agencies. Usually have breakfast, lunch or tea time served. Kekeke... :p

Bad Day

Chinese New Year was over. It's back to work and normal days... Feels bit lazy to start the new week. Well, still have some things that I need to settle this week. Starts with BlueCoat ProxySG training at Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia (Jabatan Peguam Malaysia). Later also Sophos Anti Virus training for Ministry of Agriculture (to be confirmed).

Today's AGC BlueCoat ProxySg training was supposed to at 9am. But as usual I need to get to the office to check my mail and get the stuff needed for the training - training manuals, certificates and projector! Finally went on the way after pumping fuel to full tank and off to Putrajaya at around 9.15am. Late? Yeah... But not a problem... Haha...

While on the way, so far so good. Chit chat with colleague while driving and listening to the radio. When we went pass the Cheras MAKRO and was on the way uphill, my colleague heard a bang. I didn't heard that. Busy driving and listening to the radio I guess. Soon after that when going down hill, I noticed my steering wheel was a bit to the right although I was moving straight. Hope nothing was wrong. Then immediately we heard the sound "klok klok klok... ... ..." Oops. Something was wrong. My colleague suspects tyre puncture after the loud bang previously. I slowly move the car to the slow lane from the fast lane and stopped right after a junction to inspect.

It's a right rear type complete puncture. Gosh. What an unlucky day! Lucky my colleague was there, we both work together to change the rear tyre. Lucky we were alright. I was driving at the highway speed and was at the fast lane. Also lucky it's a rear tyre puncture. If front tyre, outcome might be different!

I think some kind of metal stick hit the side of the rear tyre, pierced a hole and puncture it. But I didn't see anything before it hits. I wonder where it came from... I saw a metal piece left flying behind while looking at the back during the "klok klok klok" sound... Bad luck... Called office to inform about the incident and asked them to call AGC to delay the training for a while.

Wasted around 20 minutes changing the rear tyre and resume the journey to AGC. Hands dirty! So far so good withthe spare tyre. Lucky I have all the tools needed for tyre changing... Thanks to my colleague for being there and helping out too!

End of the day, the training was quite successful. It finished at around 4.30pm and I have to rush back to office. Later would be stucked in the bad jam especially at the Seri Kembangan/Balakong intersection. Phweew... What a day...
